Tui Cottage is a two-bedroom, self-contained, self-service Bed & Breakfast at Orere Point, southeast of Auckland New Zealand. Orere Point is a small coastal community located at the top of the Firth of Thames, opposite the Coromandel Peninsula. It is approximately 1 hour from Auckland City and less than that to the airport. The beach is safe for swimming and popular for fishing and boating. The southern end of the beach is rocky, and it becomes more sandy as you progress northwards. From Tui Cottage, it is just a few minutes walk to the beach and the local store, which sells a range of provisions, newspapers, magazines etc., as well as takeaway food, wine and beer. They do great coffee and freshly baked bread and croissants are available in the weekends.

Your accommodation at Tui Cottage comprises a double bedroom with queen size bed and a second room with twin bunks. The lounge also has a fold out bed settee. There is a fully equipped kitchen with separate dining area, separate bathroom and toilet, and a laundry. In addition, the lounge features a potbelly stove to keep those seeking a winter hideaway snug and warm.

Supplies for the NZ version of continental breakfast - cereal, bread for toast, tea & coffee etc. are provided for guests to utilise at their leisure. Other meals are not provided, except by prior arrangement. Having your own kitchen means you can prepare your own meals or simply take advantage of takeaways from the store. In addition, a gas BBQ is provided for guests to use. If you do plan to eat out, and don't want takeaway, please note that the nearest restaurants are 20 - 25 minutes from Orere Point at Clevedon and Kaiaua.

Several television channels are received and variety of DVD movies are available, together with a selection of books, magazines, games and puzzles.

Cellular service can be a bit hit and miss if you have an older mobile phone. During the summer months, it is recommended that guests bring high SPF sunblock and insect repellent.
